Members with current email addresses will have received an email this evening with a user name and password to log in to the new website. If you didn't receive an email, but think you should have, then please contact the membership secretary.
To log in, click on "Member Login" at the top of the page to reveal the login panel.
The website now has some social networking features so we encourage you to upload an "avatar" picture which can be a picture of yourself but doesn't have to be! The picture makes you more recognisable in the forums and elsewhere on the site. You can do this via the "Profile" option under the "Members" menu. |

As some of you have already noticed, the web site was updated last week and old passwords are no longer working.
New features include:
Over the next few days we will be importing the current membership database. Existing members who have supplied us with a current email address will receive an email with instructions on how to login.
Renewal notices will be automatically emailed as subscriptions expire, thus saving time for the Membership Secretary.
Members will also be able to keep their own details updated such as phone numbers, email addresses and so on, thus reducing the volunteer workload.
There is still some more work to do such as placing the library books into categories, adding more events, adding to the gallery and so on. If you have any questions, suggestions or other feedback about the new site, please let us know. |

Then drop a line to the events co-ordinator using the contact form with the name of the business and the person in charge and we will send out a letter from HBLN and see what we can organise for all the members of the community.
As the saying goes you'll never ever know if you never give it a go! |

Your HBLN membership enables you to free access at the REmida Centre in Perth. REmida is a recycling/reuse centre that collects many different materials from a range of commercial and local industries for use in a myriad of creative and educational projects, limited only by your imagination.
Located at 1 Prospect Place West Perth, it is open:
- Tuesdays 2.00 - 6.00pm
- Thursdays 2.00 - 5.00pm
- Saturdays 1.00 - 4.00pm
The resources at REmida vary from day to day so it's worth going back more than once in a while. Materials can be utilised in anything from art, to science, to home renovation as my bathroom mirror and book case will testify too. Many of the resources at REmida would otherwise end up as landfill so not only is it a great way to find free material's to build the Temple of Apollo for that LOTE lesson in Greek, or tubing for a homemade skeleton for biology, but it also helps the environment and your budget at the same time.
So make sure you get the most out of your HBLN subscription and take a trip to REmida and see what you can find.
P.S. Don't forget to take your HBLN members card as proof of id. |
